Pink Sun Rising OR Modern Geese
It's hard to beat Pink Sun Rising. It is elegant, with a fantastic use of negative space. I love the fact that the color does not progress all the way around some of the spheres. The colors of Modern Geese really appeals to me and that is a quilt I would make. So, I am not much help am I? :)
ReplyDeleteI signed up via email during the Rush Hour Hop! I love both of the patterns, why, well because they have clean lines and are simply gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
ReplyDeleteI follow via GFC.
ReplyDeleteI like both of the patterns, they have such a modern feel to them. But, my favorite is the Modern Geese. This is the first flying geese pattern that really appealed to me. I think it is the combination with the other elements, and the use of the negative space. Great work!
I thought I already left a comment, sorry....I love modern geese mainly because I have a thing for flying geese and I love the colors you used!
ReplyDeleteModern Geese Quilt!!! I am a known and proud geese addict! Love this fresh modern twist!
ReplyDeleteI am following you and I like the Modern Geese pattern. i am just getting into the Modern Quilt thing and love all the negative space and what quilting you can do in it. I also love the Pink Sun Rise because of the points. (theslowquilter.blogspot.com) theslowquilter@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI like them both but pink sun rising is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
Geez, I'm with Mary Pat...they are both so striking and different I also love that the NYB doesn't go all the way around the circle (except for the quilting!!). But the colors of the Modern Geese are so bright and cheerful! I would probably be more inclined to make Modern Geese...just because I really struggle with the hand sewing involved with the NYB!! I am a new follower...who desperately wants to make your Jagged Edges quilt!
ReplyDeletePink Sun Rising is Wow! I like it because it is very interesting and modern and I'm just starting to understand what modern quilting is. I signed up to get email updates. Thanks. kthurn@bektel.com
ReplyDeleteGlad to follow your blog. I do enjoy modern quilts, though not ready to give up tradition. So, think I like the modern interpretation of "Geese".
ReplyDeleteLove both the patterns for different reasons but I keep going back to Modern Geese. I really like the geometric feel it has. New follower here thanks to finding you via the Rush Hour hop.
ReplyDeleteI love Pink Sun Rising. I like it because I want to try paper piecing, and curves. I follow you through Bloglovin and email. Thanks for the chance to win!

I love Pink Sun Rising! I love it because it is such a modern twist on a traditional pattern. It immediately demands your attention. Excellent pattern!

Since I like flying Geese and more traditional patterns I vote for Modern Geese.
